An Apocalyptic Warning for America

Updated: Feb 17

December 25, 2022— You have heard the phrase, “those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it” (George Santayana), or a different variation of that phrase like this one, “those who forget their history are condemned to repeat it”. This phrase is so undeniably true, that what I am about to reveal to you regarding biblical prophecy and how it is unfolding right here in America in front of our eyes will shock you. If it does not, you need to read this article again. In fact, I have no doubt that many people will read this article repeatedly. Please forward this article to your friends, your family, and your leaders. Also, refer to the Holy Bible and listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit.

Ancient Israel

To understand what is happening in America, we first need to know ancient history and biblical events. In ancient Israel, King Solomon led their nation and its assembly in a national prayer where Solomon dedicated the temple to the Lord. The temple was built in the 10th century B.C. at the instruction of King Solomon. In his opening words, King Solomon said, “Lord God of Israel, there is no God in heaven or earth like You, who keep Your covenant and mercy with Your servants who walk before you with all their hearts.” (2 Kings 6:14). As part of his prayer, Solomon also said:

If anyone sins against his neighbor, and is forced to take an oath, and comes and takes an oath before Your altar in this temple, then hear from heaven, and act, and judge Your servants, bringing retribution on the wicked by bringing his way on his own head, and justifying the righteous by giving him according to his righteousness.

2 Kings 6:22-23

The construction of the temple took seven years, and it stood for centuries, but it only took two years to destroy the city it was in (Jerusalem) and the temple itself. King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylonia sieged Jerusalem in 586 B.C. destroyed it and the temple. King Solomon’s temple would be destroyed not because of the invaders, but because of the Israelite’s backsliding against God. For the Lord had said through the prophet, Jeremiah:

‘Return, backsliding Israel,’ says the Lord; ‘I will not cause My anger to fall on you. For I am merciful,’ says the Lord; ‘I will not remain angry forever.

Only acknowledge your iniquity, That you have transgressed against the Lord your God, And have scattered your charms To alien deities under every green tree, And you have not obeyed My voice,’ says the Lord.

Jeremiah 3:12-13

The Backsliding

The Israelites began backsliding by breaking the Ten Commandments. The Lord gave Moses the commandments to charge the Israelite nation with a moral conduct. The Holy Bible says that blessings will abound you if obey, and if you disobey, the blessings will be taken away (you will be cursed) (see Deuteronomy 28). Over the next four hundred years, the Israelites did the following actions:

  1. (Jeremiah 8:19) Made images of a foreign god known as Baal (breaks the first commandment, and the second commandment).

  2. (Isaiah 37:3 and 2 Kings 19:3) Committed blasphemy (breaks the third commandment)

  3. (Ezekiel 20:21) They did not observe the Sabbath which is a holy day to the Lord (breaks the fourth commandment).

  4. (Read the whole Old Testament) They did not obey the way of the Lord, the Lord of their father, Abraham, nor did they obey the laws of Moses as their forefather (breaks the fifth commandment)

  5. (Jeremiah 32:35, Ezekiel 23:37) Sacrificed their children to Molech (committed murder, breaks the sixth commandment)

  6. (Ezekiel 23:36-37) Committed adultery by worshipping idols (breaks the seventh commandment)

  7. (Jeremiah 23:30) By lying or prophesying falsely they “steal My words every one from his neighbor” (breaks the eight commandment)

  8. (Jeremiah 5:31) Prophesied falsely (breaks ninth commandment)

  9. Knowing human nature, it is safe to say that they broke the commandments against jealousy (tenth commandment).

So, what happened to the Israelites? They had numerous prophets forewarning them of what was to come. 2 Kings 17:13 says, ”Yet the Lord testified against Israel and against Judah, by all of His prophets, every seer, saying, “Turn from your evil ways, and keep My commandments and My statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by My servants the prophets.” In the laws of Moses, the Israelites were told (generations earlier) that disobedience of the Lord’s statutes would lead to fever, inflammation, sword, and scorching (Deuteronomy 28:22). Given their backsliding from the Lord, He became “very angry with Israel, and removed them from His sight; there was none left but the tribe of Judah alone” (2 Kings 17:18). (Keep in mind, Israel was divided into two kingdoms (the Kingdom of Judah, with Samaria as its capital, and the Kingdom of Israel, with Jerusalem as its capital)).

The Israelites were given a warning through a physical action: they were attacked by the “sword” twice when King Sennacherib of Assyria attacked Jerusalem in 732 B.C, and then besieged Samaria for three years in 720 B.C. The Israelites that were captured from Samaria at the time were placed “in Halah and by the Habor, the River of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes” (2 Kings 17:6, and 2 Kings 18:11). This happened, “because they did not obey the voice of the Lord their God, but transgressed His covenant and all that Moses the servant of the Lord had commanded; and they would neither hear nor do them.” (2 Kings 18:12).

The attack of the sword using the Assyrian king was a foreshadowing event for the Israelites and was a warning of judgement. Through Moses, the Lord said:

You shall therefore keep My statutes and My judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations, either any of your own nation or any stranger who dwells among you (for all these abominations the men of the land have done, who were before you, and thus the land is defiled), lest the land vomit you out also when you defile it, as it vomited out the nations that were before you. For whoever commits any of these abominations, the persons who commit them shall be cut off from among their people.

Leviticus 18: 26-19

Before Assyria attacked the Israelites, they were told to turn back from their ways by several prophets. One example is Hosea “O Israel, return to the Lord your God, For you have stumbled because of your iniquity; Take words with you, And return to the Lord.” (Hosea 14:1). The end of Hosea tells us that God’s anger has turned from them (Hosea 14:4) but the damage Assyria performed had already taken place.

We see a similar pattern with the Babylon Capture when the Babylonians came in and destroyed the first temple and Jerusalem. The Israelites were brought back captive to Babylonia, where they remained for 70 years. When they returned they rebuilt the wall around Jerusalem (Nehemiah 3) and they built a second temple (Ezra 3:8-13). The pattern of the attack on the city and the temple would repeat with the Romans. The Romans besieged Jerusalem in 70 C.E. and destroyed the second temple. The Romans took some Israelites captive to Rome and killed the rest. Some would be scattered throughout the world, and they would not be recognized as a nation until after World War II in 1948.

Israel’s History, America’s Lesson

We need to learn from this. America has been a nation for just over two hundred years. Some sources state that most empires last up to 250 years, while countries last 150 years[i]. If you are under the age of 60, chances are you were taught that America was never founded by the church nor the church in America. This lesson is so far from the truth that it broke my heart when I uncovered the truth.

Each president leads America in a national prayer. This started with George Washington and has been a tradition ever since. One of Washington’s prayers is this:

Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy holy protection; that thou wilt incline the hearts of the citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to government, and entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow-citizens of the United States at large. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy and to demean ourselves with that charity, humility and pacific temper of mind which were the characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed religion without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication, we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.[ii]

This prayer is repeated at the Mount Vernon wreath laying ceremony each day, but the words “Grant our supplication, we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ, our Lord” have been taken out.[iii] George Washington prayed this after his inaugural address. Washington’s inaugural address was held at federal hall in New York City. Here is an excerpt of that address:

Such being the impressions under which I have, in obedience to the public summons, repaired to the present station; it would be peculiarly improper to omit in this first official Act, my fervent supplications to that Almighty Being who rules over the Universe, who presides in the Councils of Nations, and whose providential aids can supply every human defect, that his benediction may consecrate to the liberties and happiness of the People of the United States, a Government instituted by themselves for these essential purposes: and may enable every instrument employed in its administration to execute with success, the functions allotted to his charge…Since we ought to be no less persuaded that the propitious smiles of heaven, can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right, which heaven itself has ordained. And since the preservation of the sacred fire of liberty, and the destiny of the republican model of government, are justly considered as deeply, perhaps as finally staked on the experiment entrusted to the hands of the American people.[iv]

Just as Solomon consecrated his nation to God in the capital city, so did George Washington with his prayer and his inaugural address. Just as King Solomon prayed in the temple within the capital city, as did George Washington. New York City was the capital of the United States in 1789. George Washington’s inaugural address was held on April 30, 1789. Washington DC became the capital on July 16, 1790. In addition, Washington was a member of St. Paul’s Chapel which is only a few blocks from the federal hall. It makes sense that he prayed this at that church which still stands today and there are plaques commemorating him at the church.

Has America Disobeyed God?

According to the Holy Bible, disobeying the Lord will get you into some trouble:

The Lord will send on you cursing, confusion, and rebuke in all that you set your hand to do, until you are destroyed and until you perish quickly, because of the wickedness of your doings in which you have forsaken Me. The Lord will make the plague cling to you until He has consumed you from the land which you are going to possess. The Lord will strike you with consumption, with fever, with inflammation, with severe burning fever, with the sword, with scorching and with mildew; they shall pursue you until you perish.

Deuteronomy 28:20-22

Has America disobeyed God? Absolutely! We took God out of everything, we took Him out of our schools, our leaders, our politics our economy and all that we do. We have broken the commandments in obnoxious ways. We too have built statues that people worship (the charging bull on Wall Street for example). We have placed the eyes of a foreign god over our nation specifically in August 2015 when the Empire State Building depicted the Hindu goddess, Kali. [v]

Americans have killed millions of our innocent (the unborn through abortions). The Holy Bible says that “And you shall not let any of your descendants pass through the fire to Molech, nor shall you profane the name of your God: I am the Lord.” While the Israelites sacrificed their children, Americans did not even allow their children to take their first breath! Yet, at six weeks, you can hear the baby's heartbeat in the womb.

What Will Happen to America?

Deuteronomy 28:20-22 tells us that disobedience will lead to “cursing, confusion, and rebuke in all that you set your hand to do”, and that the Lord will bring a plague, a sword, scorching and with mildew, and that these curses “will pursue you until you perish.” Have these things happened?

Yes, they have. Times are so stressful now and have been because of the pandemic, that we are all cursing. Confusion? How many people do you know that cannot “keep their head on straight”? I know quite a few. Has America been failing in all that it sets its hands in? I would say so. The pandemic is the answer to the plague, 9/11 is the answer to the sword (whereas your enemy will attack you). The Assyrians attacked Samaria and Jerusalem. In America, our first foreign attack was 9/11. The terrorists of 9/11 are descendants of the Assyrians who attacked Israel in 732 BC. (While the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, Hawaii was made a territory in 1900, and it became a state on August 21, 1959).

What about scorching? Some bible versions translate scorching to blight. I decided to go back to the Hebrew version and see what it showed. However, I am (by no means) fluent in Hebrew, so I looked elsewhere. It took me to the commentaries, and I had a thought, Go back to the King James Version. Right there in the KJV, was the word “blasting.” From various study tools I confirmed that blasting means scorching which can describe the hot dry winds that blow across the Arabian desert. It is so hot, that it scorches the plants. I have not experienced such a hot wind in the northeast, but the Pacific northwest certainly has as it is no stranger to wildfires. In October 2022, a series of wildfires spread across the region as “warm, dry, and windy conditions—a rarity for the rainy Pacific Northwest— have swept across Washington”.[vi]

These signs had occurred to Israel before they were invaded by the Assyrians, the Babylonians, and the Romans. So to have these signs occurred in America. You may think it impossible for the US to fall to one of its enemies, but without God, that can happen. The curses of Deuteronomy 28 will continue to pursue America and its people until the time that the nation is led by its leaders back to God and to Jesus Christ or America will cease to exist as a nation. The superpower status that we once held is fading and it will continue to do so for the blessings of the Lord have been taken from us because we transgressed against the Lord, the cornerstone of our nation.

Put God back in our schools, in our government, our laws, and our politics and in our economy! Teach the nation of Jesus Christ and what He has done for everyone not just Americans but for all who live on this earth. Jesus Christ has paid our sin debt to God by being crucified, for “He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world” (1 John 2:2).

Hope for America

The Holy Bible says, “if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14). To be forgiven of sins, you must accept Jesus Christ as your savior. In a letter to the believers in Ephesus, Paul said that in Jesus Christ, “we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace” (Ephesians 1:7).

My fellow Americans both domestic and foreign, it is time to turn back to God, to call a national fast, and to accept Jesus Christ as our savior. You do that by saying this simple prayer:

God, I confess that Jesus came in the flesh and blood, paid the price for my sins, died on the cross, rose on the third day, ascended to the heavens, and sent the Holy Spirit to help me understand Your ways. For that, I accept Jesus Christ as my savior and Lord, and I welcome the Holy Spirit in my life. In Jesus’s name I pray, amen!

To the leaders of this nation, God is calling you to lead the nation both spiritually and physically. Will you fulfill your role? Our fate is in your hands.
